Events

“Each year students are able to join various trips, usually subsidised by the Student Council. The schedule of activities can change to respond to your ideas and preferences but typically include transport and access to the following:

• Clothes Show Live (Catwalk style and bags of bargains for savvy shoppers each December)

• Paintballing (Spring term)

• UCAS Convention (talk to university admissions staff and learn more about degree courses at this major event in the Summer term)

• Alton Towers (Summer term)”

The Student Council

As a member of the College, you are automatically a member of the Students' Council. The Students' Council exists to ensure you get the most out of College life. We look after your welfare, represent your views to College Management and Governors, raise money for charity and make sure there are lots of fun activities going on too.

To make the Students' Council successful, YOU need to get involved: contact us with your views, suggest activities, volunteer to help to organise activities, or just join in with the fun and show your support.

Please use this area to find out more about what we do and to find out useful information. However, you are more than welcome to contact the Students' Council on 01785 275475 or email: studentcouncil@staffordcoll.ac.uk

Peer Mentor Scheme

“Peer Mentors are second and third year students who have been fully trained to use their knowledge and experience to help new students to settle in. If you are feeling confused, or a bit daunted by starting College, speak to your tutor or email peermentors@staffordcoll.ac.uk and we will arrange for you to meet one of our confidential Peer Mentors. “
