| Course Description | The Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong learning sector is designed to meet the professional needs of in-service teachers, to equip them with the skills to teach more effectively in the post -14 FE sector. | |||||||||||||||||
| Entry Requirements | - Level 3 subject specific qualification. - Evidence of English at level 2 and a willingness to work towards a current exit qualification. - Ability to study Numeracy at level 2 and a willingness to work towards a current exit qualification. - Ability to use information Technology at level 2 and a willingness to work towards a current exit qualification. - Documentary evidence of regular access to a subject specialist mentor. - Guaranteed 150 hours teaching or training across the 2 years. (suggested 60 hours in 1st year, 90 in year 2) - Access to a range of teaching and learning experiences (e.g. teaching in large and small groups, tutorials, assessing including marking, record keeping, planning and preparing resources etc). |
