A Good College - the stamp of approval from Ofsted
STUDENTS and staff are celebrating after Ofsted judged Stafford College to be ‘Good with outstanding features’ in its latest report.
Strong leadership and management, good teaching and learning and a safe, friendly atmosphere on the campus helped the college make the grade, with special praise coming for the way in which partnerships with schools, employers and community groups have brought benefits for students.
Principal Stephen Willis said: “This report is the perfect end to a year of awards and accolades for our students and staff. Among a wealth of very positive comments in the report, we were particularly delighted that the inspectors recognised the quality of care, guidance and support that is provided to students and that they paid tribute to the contribution that students make to the local area,” said Stephen Willis.
A commitment to ongoing improvement at the College brought rewards, with the report noting substantial advances in success rates for students aged 16 -18, significant developments in outcomes for apprenticeships and great strides forward in the quality of tutorials. Students were said to be “Highly satisfied with the good teaching.” |
