The Library

A key feature of the Riverbank Building is a purpose-built library for students.

The library extends across three floors and has been designed to offer the best academic library in the area. An astonishing 300 computers have been installed in the building, providing open-access to IT resources as well as study and meeting spaces within the library.

Silent study rooms can been booked for those who prefer to learn that way and there are group study workshops equipped with interactive whiteboards to help students develop highly professional presentations.

The library houses 30,000 books, with state-of-the-art self-issue machines installed on each floor, so that library users can take out books without returning to the central issue desk.

If you are concerned about how you might find the information you need among such a wealth of material, don't worry. All students receive an introduction to the library when they join the College and a roving enquiry service operates on all three floors.
