Rebecca Hanlon As soon as she finished her course Rebecca was offered employment at a beauty salon, where she soon had a senior role. Less than four years later she started her own business. She describes her career in beauty therapy as enormously satisfying and is looking forward to expanding her business.

John Sambrook A professional sound engineer and recording producer with a unique production sound, John met the technical challenges of recording a live performance by a choir of 100 voices with orchestral backing. A supporter of the Class Act project to assist young musicians, he has established his own record label, Dusted Records UK.

Adam Smith Training at Stafford College enabled Adam to become part of a family tradition. He combined his training with work as a Mechanic Technician at Perkins Bros Garage in Cannock. Working alongside him is his grandfather, Robert, who began his career as an apprentice at the garage he now owns. Eventually, Robert hopes that Adam will take over the business.

Alison Malcolm Alison enjoyed a successful career in catering management, culminating a role as Operations Manager at Heathrow Airport. She came back to College to teach young people taking their first steps in the industry and is now a Faculty Manager with overall responsibility for the hospitality courses as well as the acclaimed college restaurants

Vivienne Bailey Honoured in the Midlands Press Photographer of the Year Awards, Vivienne also won a Merit Award from the Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers. Now self-employed, she says highlights of her career so far have included opportunities to picture David and Victoria Beckham, Julie Walters, Frank Skinner and the last flight of Concorde.

Meg Wilton In addition to playing football for Aston Villa Ladies and representing the College side, Meg received the call-up to play for England Colleges after impressing the selectors at a training camp at Lilleshall National Sports Centre. The selectors described Meg as a credit to her college whilst on international duty.

Jay Rowley Senior Champion in the prestigious Guild of Bricklayers' Competition 2008, Jay qualified through an apprenticeship. In 2007 he was invited to represent apprentices at a Downing Street reception hosted by PM Gordon Brown.

Paul Slinn Coming to college without formal qualifications, Paul got a Grade A in GCSE English followed just a year later with a top grade at A-Level. The winner of a regional award for adult learners, Paul is keen to encourage other mature students and hopes to follow a degree course with work at Stafford College.

Richard Cullen After College Richard worked for Gordon Ramsay at Claridge's before returning to the family restaurant near Stone. Richard was named Young Chef of Tomorrow in the Taste of Staffordshire Awards of 2007 and Master Chef of the Year in 2008.
