At Stafford College we take the health of our students and staff very seriously. The College is a member of the National Healthy College Network working together to share ideas and looking at ways to make our College a positive and healthy place to work and study. We are committed to investing in the health and welfare of our students and staff through the promotion of healthy eating and healthy lifestyle choices. Stafford College is a smoke free zone to help protect students and staff from second hand smoke.
As a Healthy College, we aim to provide you with support if you would like to give up smoking. In association with South Staffs Primary Care Trust (PCT) Stafford College has developed a free Chlamydia advice and screening programme. Look out for screening dates advertised on the Plasma Screen in Earl Street Reception and the Every Child Matters (ECM) /Healthy College notice boards around College.
Throughout the year we support National Health Awareness Days by holding
special events within College. Dates of events will be advertised on the College
plasma Screen in Earl Street Reception and ECM/Healthy College notice boards
around College.
For further information relating to any aspect of ECM and Healthy College contact the College ECM Co-ordinator on 01785 275625 or e-mail a.ray@staffordcoll.ac.uk.
