Course DescriptionThe BTEC National Diploma in Media Production is a practical, work-related course. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. As well as learning about the employment area you have chosen, you develop the skills you need to start a career.

What will I study?
Over the 2 year course the subjects you will study include:

• Production Planning – Developing ideas and organisation of a production.
• Production Skills – Single, Multi-Camera and Interview Techniques.
• Post Production – Video Editing Techniques and DVD Authoring.
• Television and Film Studies.
• Writing for Television and Video.

Entry RequirementsIn order to study at this level students should have 4
GCSE passes, grades A-C (English preferred) or BTEC First Diploma, or equivalent and should demonstrate an interest in film, TV, and video work. Special consideration will be given to mature students without these qualifications and those with relevant work experience.
