Course Name	Combined NVQ Level 2 and 3 in Beauty Therapy and Hairdressing (hairdressing delivered by Francesco Group)
Course Description	Students will complete NVQ Level 2 Beauty Therapy and start working towards NVQ Level 2 Hairdressing within the first year of their programme. Students will progress on to the second year to achieve Level 2 Hairdressing, Nail Technology, Nail Art and maintain Level 2 Beauty Therapy Skills. The final year will focus on achieving level 3 within either hairdressing or beauty therapy. Students could then progress into a fourth year to complete the alternative NVQ Level 3 if they so wish. This programme is very intense and will cover in depth practical and theoretical knowledge. Essential skills development is also integrated into the course which supports employment into the Hair and Beauty industry. Students should allocate approximately 15 hours per week for home study to support this fast tracking course. The facilities available on site are of an excellent standard and also through the Francesco Academy.

Entry Requirements	This course enables students to achieve qualifications in hairdressing and beauty therapy to Level 2 Progression onto level 3 in either hairdressing or beauty therapy. Excellent personal presentation and motivation are crucial to achieve the high standards required for both college and industry. Functional skills are also integrated into this course. Selection will be based on a successful interview and 2 GCSEs at grade C or above in English Language and Science.
Assessment	Theoretical and practical knowledge are continuously assessed using various methods
Course Progression	Progression onto Level 3 in either hairdressing or beauty therapy. HND in Beauty Therapy or part time Holistic therapies. Employment opportunities are available in hairdressing and beauty salons, health spas, cruise liners and with skincare and product manufacturers.
