| Course Description | This course offers a varied fashion related programme that aspires to develop creative, practical and technically able individuals. Studying across the areas of fashion illustration, pattern cutting and garment construction, business and professional studies and history of fashion, students pursue creative projects developing their own collections. All students are encouraged to take part in annual residential trips, visit major trade fairs and participate in fashion shows, including The Clothes Show Live. |

| Entry Requirements | Students should be at least 18 with a minimum of 80 UCAS points achieved through one of the following: BTEC National Diploma/Certificate in Art and Design related subjects; GNVQ Advanced in Art and Design; Diploma in Foundation Studies: Art & Design; /A2 Levels in Art and Design subjects; or relevant industrial experience. Special consideration will be given to mature students without these qualifications and those with relevant work experience. Selection is by interview to which you will be asked to bring along examples of your art and design work. |

| Course Progression | When qualified, our students are able to work comfortably across a variety of disciplines including fashion design, garment realisation, fashion directions and communications, fashion textiles and costume. The opportunity to follow specialist pathways in either Design, Cut and Manufacture, Costume and Bridal or Business and Marketing gives students a clear direction and well developed skills required when seeking employment in key areas of the industry Successful students wishing to progress to an Honours Degree may apply to top up their qualification at any university in the UK |
