Higher Education Courses
Higher Education (ie study at post A-Level or equivalent) used to be exclusively provided by universities. You can now study towards a degree-level qualification here at Stafford College, taking advantage of the convenient location and flexible learning opportunities as well as high quality teaching and small class sizes.

The Higher Education courses offered at college can be studied on a full or part-time basis. Many students find that they can combine part-time study with a job, providing a cost-effective route towards a degree. Qualifications can be 'stand alone' or act as a stepping-stone to an honours degree with a short period of additional study at university.

Higher Education courses include:
Foundation Degree
Higher National Diploma (HND)
Higher National Certificate (HNC)
Foundation Year

In response to the increasing number of people who want to study towards degree-level qualifications but worry about the cost of studying away from home, Stafford College has expanded the range of higher education courses available on the campus.
As well as a wider choice of subjects, you will also find more flexibility. Inpartnership with Staffordshire University, we now offer Higher National Diplomas and Foundation Degrees. These courses lead to recognised qualifications and can be topped-up with a period of study at university.
Many people now prefer to get a job while they study - helping to keep the costs down and getting vital work experience as well as important qualifications. For these students, we offer part-time courses to fit around other commitments.
As more employers look for higher qualifications in their workforce, we are making it even easier for you to get a step-up the career ladder. Even if you got disappointing results at school, we can still help. Ask about our Pathways to HE, mapping your future from introductory qualifications right through to degree studies.
